To whom this may concern,
It is my pleasure to write this letter in support of Jayden Tompkins, whom I have had the privilege of teaching for the three semesters at Tattnall County High School. During that time, I have come to know Jayden as a high energy student who brings consistency, character, and good effort to the classroom every day.
In my class, Jayden has demonstrated a good work ethic and the ability to bring out laughter and joy to our classroom on a regular basis. He is the kind of student who will work hard to complete his assignments and responds well to feedback. Even while balancing the demands of football, he has shown the ability to manage his responsibilities and maintain a strong commitment to both academics and athletics. What stands out most about Jayden is his character. He is a coachable individual that will take the feedback given to make progress in everything he does and these qualities are evident not only in the classroom but also in the way he handles challenges.
As a football player, Jayden reflects many of the traits that translate well to a college athletic program: discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and the ability to accept coaching. Based on my experience working with him, I believe he would be a positive addition to any program because of both his athletic potential and his strong personal character.
I strongly recommend Jayden for consideration by your program. I am confident that he will represent your team and institution with integrity, effort, and pride.
Sincerely,

I am happy to recommend Jayden Tompkins for admission to your institution. I have taught Jayden in two English courses, and over that time I’ve gotten a good sense of both how he works and the kind of person he is.
Jayden is not a student who always shows immediate confidence, and at times it can look like he’s unsure of where to start. But what I’ve come to respect about him is that he takes responsibility for his work and follows through. More than once, I’ve seen him seem behind or uncertain, and then turn in a thoughtful, complete assignment that shows real effort. That ability to stay with it and finish strong says a lot about his work ethic.
He’s also very coachable. Jayden listens to feedback, takes it seriously, and makes adjustments. He doesn’t push back or make excuses—he just works to get better. That’s a quality that stands out and one that translates well to both the classroom and athletics.
What may surprise people is the level of insight he brings. When he engages, his ideas are often perceptive and a little unexpected in a good way. As he builds more confidence in himself, I think that will become an even bigger strength.
In class, Jayden is respectful, self-aware, and steady. He’s not the loudest presence, but he’s dependable and contributes in his own way. He has a quiet determination and a team-first kind of mindset that I think will serve him well.
Overall, Jayden is someone who may doubt himself at times, but still delivers. With the structure and expectations of a college program, I’m confident he will continue to grow and be a positive, reliable presence both academically and athletically.
Please feel free to reach out if you need any additional information.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Lisa Oliver
