Rick Winbigler Biography

Coach Rick Winbigler will be the Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach for the Battle Creek Warriors.  He has 19 years of experience coaching High School football, including 7 years as a Head Football Coach.  Coach Win began coaching at the age of 19, and has been an offensive and defensive position coach, a Defensive Coordinator, and an Offensive Coordinator at multiple levels in multiple states.  He has coached in Ohio, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Georgia.  In 2014, Coach Win was blessed to be an assistant coach of the 6AII State Runner Up football team at Lawton High School in Lawton, Oklahoma.  This fall, Coach will be teaching at Tattnall County High School.  He has 11 years of teaching experience across multiple subject areas.  Coach has taught History, English, Health, Strength Training, and Physical Education from grades 6-12. 

Coach Win grew up in Clarkston, Michigan where he attended Clarkston High School and played football and threw the Shotput and Discus.  After graduating in 2004, he enrolled at Central Michigan University where he double majored in History and English and received a Bachelor of Science in Education in the spring of 2010.  He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology at the University of West Georgia where he expects to graduate in the summer of 2024.

Coach is married to the beautiful Ashley Winbigler, and they welcomed their first child, Sandra Grace, in December of 2023.
