Coach Jonah Mercer – Quarterbacks/Running Backs
Coach Jonah Mercer serves as the Quarterbacks and Running Backs coach and teaches Physical Education at South Tattnall Middle School, where he also serves as the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator.
Coach Mercer has four years of coaching experience at Tattnall County High School, working with both offensive and defensive positions. He also has two years of teaching experience, during which he has taught Strength and Conditioning, Math, and Special Education.
Coach Mercer is a graduate of Tattnall County High School, where he played wide receiver and safety for the Warriors from 2016–2020. After graduating, he continued his football career at LaGrange College, playing wide receiver during the 2020–2021 season.
He earned his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology (Exercise Science) from Georgia Southern University and later received his Master's degree in Physical Education from Georgia College & State University.
Coach Mercer is married to Tattnall County native Avery Martin Mercer.
